Extreme Team

Our team's philosophy rests on the idea that all students have EXTREME potential!  We are committed to engaged learning, fun yet educational activities, and active involvement amongst all parties, including teachers, students and parents!

Tips to Help your Student Succeed in Middle School:

Your child's assignments are posted in the Schoology calendar.  Please encourage your child to check this calendar every night and review their assignments with them. Encourage them to prepare for tests and quizzes in advance.

Use Progress Book (click to visit this site) to view your child’s grades and homework.  If you need help, contact Ms. Jeffery at 863-1251 or email her at Lisa.Jeffery@rossrams

Set aside a specific time every day for homework and studying.  Routines work!

Ask to see completed homework!

Use the after school “Study Skills” program held from 2:50 to 3:50 p.m. Monday through Thursday.  Two teachers are available to assist your child in completing homework or to provide extra help (one teacher is in the media center, one teacher is in the computer lab).

Teacher Biographies

Mrs. Alyssa Bruck

This is my sixteenth year teaching 7th and 8th grade social studies on the Extreme Team, and my eighteenth year teaching overall.  I graduated from Miami University with a B.S. in Social Studies Education with an endorsement in English Education and minors in History and Political Science in 1999.  I earned my Master’s Degree in Secondary Social Studies Education from Miami University in 2006.  I coordinate the annual 8th grade class trip to Washington D.C. every year, along with Mrs. Kiefer.  I live in Harrison with my husband, my adorable 5 year old daughter, Riley, my sweet 3 year old toddler, Lainey, and two crazy cats.  I love to teach middle school kids!  They have a unique energy and are so much fun to interact with on a daily basis.  The questions they ask are inspiring!

Mrs. Kris Fitz

I am the science teacher for the Extreme Team.  This is my twenty-seventh year teaching and my twenty-fifth year at Ross Middle School.  I went to Miami University for my undergraduate science work as well as my Master’s Degree in measurement and evaluation of special learners.  I have a daughter who graduated from Bowling Green State University and a son in ninth grade. We live in Mason, OH, with my husband and three cats.  What I really like about teaching seventh and eighth graders is their readiness to talk and ask about anything.

 Ms. Robin Plowman

I am the 8th grade language arts teacher on the Extreme Team, and I have been teaching at Ross for all of my 25 years of teaching.  I am an undergraduate alumna of Miami University and attended graduate school at Northern Kentucky University with a major in elementary education and a concentration in reading and social science.  I love teaching 8th grade and learn something new every day from my bright, curious students.

I have identical twin sons and the most adorable granddaughter!  I love spending time with my friends and family and like to read, travel, and volunteer at the animal shelter in my free time.  I am very passionate about preserving public education for all children and advocating for the rights of children, parents and educators alike.  We have a great school district and a top-notch staff at RMS.

Mrs. Danielle Kramer

I am the 7th grade language arts teacher on the Extreme Team, and this is my twentieth year teaching overall.  I have been in Ross Local School district the last 16 years.  I graduated from Xavier with a Bachelor’s degree in Education.  I am also an alumna of Wright State where I attended graduate school and earned my Masters.  I live in Fairfield with my husband and four children, Will, Lauren, Addison, and Elise.  In my spare time, I love watching a good baseball game, reading a book, or gardening.  I look forward to coming to school everyday and working with middle school kids because I believe that every student needs a solid foundation of reading, writing, and vocabulary to be successful in the future.
