Summer EBT (or SUN Bucks) is a new federal nutrition program that provides $120 in grocery benefits per eligible child each summer. Benefits are provided on an electronic card that can be used to shop at grocery stores, farmers markets and online.

Summer EBT is one of multiple new options that help ensure children have food during the summer. Children and families can participate in both Summer EBT and summer meals (both congregate and non-congregate meal options).

For more information visit sebt.ohio.gov and download this document Summer EBT 101.

All information for our Free/Reduced students at Ross Local Schools has been sent to the state website. The distribution of the Sunbucks will be sent out beginning the middle to the end of July. The money will be added to your current SNAP card, or a card will be sent to those who do not have one. Please click on the link to find out more information or if you have any questions.

The Safer Ohio School Tip Line is a free safety resource available to all Ohio schools. The tip line is an anonymous reporting system that accepts both calls and texts 24 hours-a-day.

This tip line allows students and adults to anonymously share information with school officials and law enforcement about threats to student safety — whether that involves a threatened mass incident or harm to a single student.

Things to report to the tip line include (but are not limited to):

  • Bullying incidents;
  • Withdrawn student behaviors;
  • Verbal or written threats observed toward students, faculty or schools;
  • Hazing;
  • Weapon/suspicious devices on or near school grounds;
  • Gang related activities;
  • Unusual/suspicious behavior of students or staff;
  • Self-harm or suicidal sentiments; and
  • Any other school safety-related concerns.
